About the Art
The Story Behind the Art
Beauty Hides in Plain Sight
I’m drawn to the mundane, the ordinary, the easily overlooked — a morning cup of coffee, the way light falls through a window, the small things that make up a life. There is so much beauty hiding in the everyday, and slowing down long enough to find it, paint it, and share it is the whole point.
That’s what every print in The Whimsical Post is — a little invitation to pause. To look closer. To enjoy the bits of life that don’t ask for your attention but absolutely deserve it.
The Creative Process
Every Piece is its Own Adventure
There’s no formula for whimsy. Each piece begins somewhere different, a soft wash of watercolor, a scribble of colored pencil, or calculated ink lines. I work across many mediums, often layering several together, because I think the process should be as curious and playful as the inspiration behind it.
Making art this way is its own kind of slowing down. It asks you to stay present, to follow the piece where it wants to go, and to find joy in the happy accidents along the way. That same spirit — unhurried, lighthearted, a little curious — is what I hope you feel when your print arrives at your door.
